Somatic Sexologist, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, Sex & Relationship Coach

Here for the raw, the tender, the messy and the deeply human. I’m a queer, neurospicy somatic sexologist trained in temple facilitation, and passionate about guiding people back into connection with their bodies - and from that place, conscious connection with others.

  • My journey into this work began right here at Lisbon Temple Nights, attending almost every single temple since it started - an experience that completely changed my life and inspired me to step into this work. Temple cracked open parts of me that longed to come out because they finally felt safer and held enough to. Maybe this is a success story for spaces where your whole humanness is welcomed, maybe it's simply one person's experience - but for me, that's all it takes to believe in this work, because I felt it in my bones.

My love for Lisbon Temple Nights started in the pre-temple workshops, where I first learned how to connect to my wants, my needs, my boundaries, my yes, no and my maybe - and most importantly, learned to listen to all of this through the lens of my body. That felt experience is what allowed me to step into temple resourced and confident in holding the depth of it, and what allowed me to explore intimacy in ways I never dared to before - both in temple and outside of it.

I believe intimacy starts with presence: the ability to feel what is alive in you, moment by moment. I'm not afraid to witness your shadows, celebrate your uniqueness, and remind you that there is no 'right' way to experience this - only your way. Now as a practitioner, I want to bring this embodied learning into the space. A space where you learn how to tune in and listen to what your body is telling you, where you expand your capacity to hold yourself and where you feel confident in exploring conscious connection, intimacy and sexuality - in a way that’s uniquely yours. Where all parts of you feel welcome - your desires, your edges, your kinks, your pleasure, your patterns, your challenges, your shame, and everything in between.

I proudly identify as 'not a healer', but I will walk with you as you take steps towards more authentic connection with yourself, and with others.

simon (he/him)

Simon is from Melbourne, Australia and has lived in Lisbon since 2022. He is on the faculty of the International School of Temple Arts, where he has been practicing since 2014.

He has facilitated workshops and retreats in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and all over Europe, and holds private sessions in-person and online for people wanting to explore their sexuality, emotional and somatic landscape, and personal growth.

  • Simon trained in Tantric bodywork with Tantric Synergy in Australia, in Traditional Thai Massage in Lisbon, and in coaching with the Tilbury Group. He holds a PhD from the esteemed Poetics Program at the University at Buffalo, New York. From an arts and humanities background, he is particularly passionate about creativity, movement, voice, touch, and collaboration as doorways to empowerment.

“I’m always blown away by this artform we now call “a Temple.” It has really only emerged in the last 10 years or so, but it combines so many elements that people want in their lives, and which feel strangely familiar: being respected as if we are a goddexx, relaxing into pleasure, and letting our inspiration spontaneously guide us.”

Throughout his career as a teacher in the theater arts, in universities, and in group workshop spaces, Simon’s focus has been on helping people expand their emotional, energetic, and expressive capacity. He sees each individual person as entirely unique, with their own background, story, and outlook, and aims to be part of creating spaces where people can explore the possibilities of what it is to be them.

He is committed to consent and nervous-system awareness being foundations of the spaces in which he is involved.

  • I am a coach and bodyworker offering safe and deep spaces for you to create transformation in your life. My work is trauma-informed and approaches personal growth from a transpersonal perspective.

There are three session types: the 'Ease' session is introductory, the 'Open' is intermediate, while the 'Touch' session is the deepest exploration.

If you're new to the world of Tantra or conscious sexuality, I recommend beginning with an Ease session.

Those with more experience are invited to drop in for a session at any level.

Sessions are available for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

    Ease session

An introductory level session offering conscious embodiment consultation, breath and movement exercises, tools for setting intentions and engaging your imagination, and guided meditation for coming back into your heart and finding a sense of calm.

May involve: talking, gentle physical exercises, and meditations. No touch, no nudity.

    Open session

A progression from the Ease session, Open sessions explore how it feels to reveal your powerful vulnerability and authenticity. Elements of ritual are brought in as we focus on breath, sound, movement, and awareness.

May involve: eye-gazing, nudity, non-genital consensual touch.

    Touch session

The deepest practice offered, Touch sessions include bodywork using the Sacred Spot method taught at the International School of Temple Arts, where I am a facilitator. You are guided to explore, through mutually consensual physical contact, where your edge of growth and expansion lies. This is a spiritual, somatic journey intended to be safe, integrative, and transformative.

May involve: massage, nudity, consensual genital touch.
