WHAT IS sex ed talk with your bestie?
Sex Ed Talk With Your Bestie is what happens when you take all the knowledge and nuance of grounded, science-based sex ed and make it feel like you’re debriefing last night’s rendezvous or hyping yourself up for the next one with your closest friend on their couch.
It’s the opposite of the vulgar, clinical or overly-spiritual sex education that so often ends up steeped in patriarchy, heteronormativity, shame and one-size-fits-all advice. We don’t do that here, babes.
This space is cozy, equal, unpretentious, informative and our specialty: human and real.
I'll be talking honestly about bodies, pleasure and all the realities of being a sexual human in deeply relatable ways and hopefully teach you a thing or two to integrate into your own life.

For centuries, the church and patriarchy have done an excellent job at inducing shame and hence bringing a silence to our bodies and pleasure. That taboo seeped into us quietly, generationally until so many of us internalised it without even realising it. It has made us uneducated.
Sex Ed Talk With Your Bestie exists to break that silence and widen your horizon.
When something is both taboo and confusing, we end up thinking "is this normal?" or "does anyone else feel this?" and the answer is almost always yes but no one says it out loud (believe me, years of working with clients around sex has shown me we're NEVER the only one and it's all pretty common/whatever normal means).
Sometimes all we need is one sentence that validates our experience, one piece of information that explains something we've felt forever, one moment of “oh my god, me too" or one inspiration of "fuckyeah I want to try that too".
The world of sex - in the body and the mind - is so vast. There's so much to learn and see and hear. And the emotional intensity wrapped around all of it deserves gentle, honest, communal space.
Sex Ed Talk With Your Bestie isn't so much about "getting good at sex" - though it might be a nice side effect. It matters to me because good sex education is body literacy, emotional intelligence, relational awareness, nervous system understanding, communication skills, boundary-setting and the building blocks of authentic connection. It basically makes us a better human.
Honestly… imagine a world full of well-held, well-loved, well-fucked people. Yum.
WHAT WE DO HERE.
For each talk, we gather in a local cozy venue for a bestie-energy deep dive into a topic most people are too shy to ask about.
There will be a 1 hour talk, where you get to lean back, curl up, sip your drink, eat your snacks (both can be purchased at the café/bar) and listen. Then we'll make space for a 30 minute Q&A for all your burning questions - no promise you'll find the answer though.
There might be some interaction - like a show of hands or a demonstration or a confession booth - but if you decide to participate is really up to you.
Sex Ed Talk With Your Bestie is supposed to be accessible and fun, just the weekday eve you might desire. You learn. You laugh. You think wtf. You exhale.

I have the honour of living life pretty neurodivergently and not quite a decade ago I made bodies and pleasure my special interests. That obsession led me into years of training and working as a sex educator, sex therapist (I'm retired now, please don’t ask for sessions) and creator/facilitator of erotic ritual spaces. You might know me as the founder of Lisbon Temple Nights.
I’ve travelled through the worlds of the kinky underground in Berlin, the peak-spiritual breathing into my anus in Burma and many, many things in between. These days my work blends psychological depth and grounded spirituality with a deeply human, zero-bullshit approach.
I’ve worked with about a thousand people at this point, which means I’ve gathered a ridiculous amount of data on how humans actually function when intimacy and sex enter the chat.
I’m so passionate to translate the complicated, overwhelming stuff into something that feels simple, safer, accessible and genuinely usable. My biggest turn on is making people feel seen in their experience and my hope is that Sex Ed Talk With Your Bestie becomes a place where all of us get to feel a little less alone and a lot more empowered.
