WHAT IS skin deep?

You can join Skin Deep as a stand-alone experience or as your permission slip to the temple night (mandatory for first-timers).

it’s a workshop that gives you real-life tools to navigate consent in ways that make your connections more honest. It’s different every time - there are lots of consent tools to be learnt and experienced.

consent is woven into every part of life: how we take up space, ask for what we want, set boundaries or read someone’s signals. Most of us never received actual education on this which is why so many of our interactions feel… clunky.

here we slow down and actually practice how to be human Through embodied and educational exercises.

you’ll discover where you wobble, where you override yourself, how that blocks the connections you crave and also how you fucking free yourself, so you can make your connections hotter and richer and more nourishing.

why it matters

- why it matters -

why it matters - why it matters -

Okay, let’s have a hard convo here. consent is about power.

Every day we’re moving through invisible power dynamics: in families, workplaces, friendships, society, intimacy. Most of us were never taught how to navigate them with awareness.

We say this often but we’ll say it again: most consent breaches aren’t intentional or acts of malice, they’re the result of being uneducated or disembodied. We don’t know how to be in our bodies, feel attuned to someone else’s nervous system, name our needs or boundaries clearly or know how to guess someone else’s.

Sometimes they’re just innocent little situations like the person behind us in the supermarket line standing a little bit too close to us, breathing down our neck. And sometimes they’re more severe situations that actually activate sensations of threat in our system. And either way, the impact is real: disconnection, mistrust, shame, harm.

Consent education changes that. It creates cultures where people feel empowered and honest and hence trustworthy. It’s how we build relationships and communities rooted in choice and respect and care instead of fear or confusion.

Skin Deep matters to us because it’s a small but radical step toward a world where intimacy doesn’t harm, where power is shared, where human connection is grounded in trust and we feel liberated in our expression. That’s a world we want to live in, so we’re creating it.

WHAT WE DO HERE.

Start with you.

Many of us were never taught how to actually inhabit our own body. You’ll learn to listen inward instead of overthinking or intellectualising: What does my yes feel like? What does my no feel like? How do my grey zones feel like?

Consent with yourself.

Have you ever felt the sting of unclear dynamics or boundaries (either yours or someone else’s?). Before you can be clear with others, you need to be clear with you. We’ll practice tuning into your inner compass, so you know when you’re walking past your edges or when you’re truly lit up. Let’s get empowered, baby!

Consent with others.

Become confident in your communication without guilt or awkwardness. You’ll explore how to communicate yourself without over-explaining, holding back, pushing past your own limits or people-pleasing. No more guessing or hoping they’ll magically read you. You’ll practice naming what you want and hearing others with respect (damn that fear of rejection).

deepen connection.

You’ll experience how clear consent skills actually make intimacy safer and sexier and way more easeful. These are the exact tools that deepen connection.

Why this matters for a Temple night:

A temple is unpredictable. It’s emergent and sometimes messy and deeply intimate. Skin Deep gives you the embodied foundation, the language, the felt-sense, the courage. Here you’ll learn attunement, so you can enter a temple space grounded, confident, ready to dive in.

And even if you never plan to set foot in a Temple, these tools will ripple into your daily life, promise. Your friendships, your bedroom, your work, your family dynamics.

Every month, the workshop has a different focus. Basically, it never gets boring.

  • Body check-ins: learning to actually be in your body and feel what’s happening there.

  • Boundary exercises: practicing saying no without apology and receiving a no without collapse.

  • Desire exercises: building capacity to actually feel empowered to claim your fuckyes without fear.

  • Touch experiments: simple practices (like hand-to-hand touch) to explore how consent can make even small gestures feel powerful.

  • Role-plays: working with scenarios where consent gets awkward and finding new ways through.

  • Communication practices: practicing how to ask, how to offer, how to decline and how to renegotiate in real time.

  • Integration: space to reflect, share, and land what you’ve learned so it sticks.

Expect moments of laughter, awkwardness, depth, intimacy maybe even a few “oh shit, I’ve been doing that my whole life” realisations.
